Step 3: Your Domain

We will manage and renew your the Primary Domain for your website on your behalf and we do this by transferring its responsibilities to our platform.

  • This is the best option as it ensures the uptime of your website
  • Your domain remains your property at all times and you can reclaim or transfer control as required

domain is a unique name that identifies a website on the internet. This is often known as the website address or url

Step 4: Social Media

Social media is an effective way to communicate with your patients online as it allows you to share important events such as flu clinics, blood drives, and surgery closures, as well as notify them of new content on your website.

We understand the significance of social media for your practice. That is why we have made sure that your social media links are readily visible to your patients, either in the header (top of the page) or footer (bottom of the page) of your website.

Do you have any social media accounts you would like to feature on your website?: *

Please provide the links to your Socials

Please chose the most appropriate option: *

Step 7: Interactive Boundary Map

We provide you with a free interactive boundary map to allow patients and staff to use to check. Our tool is fully accessible and means it can be used by those with additional needs

You can customise the messages for the results given to patients to help guide them through the process.

Step 8: Accessibility

We are proud to create websites that are accessible to those that are most vulnerable in society. We call this digital equality. - with this in mind, we do not add material that cannot be seen or interacted with by those that need to use assistive technology.

These include, but not limited to: -

We do this to make sure your website is WCAG (AA) compliant otherwise your site will fail accessibility standards and may break the law. Where possible we will replace documents with compliant HTML pages but where that is not possible, or if there are an unreasonable number of documents to convert to pages, we will make you aware of this.

Processing

Step 9: Content

As part of the development procecss we will be taking appropriate content from your current website and apply this to your new site.

To prevent content overload and avoid confusing or frustrating patients, not everything will be transferred.

What is content overload

Too much wording

  • When patients are given too much information, they may feel stressed or anxious as their brains struggle to process everything.
  • This is often exacerbated by their existing stress or anxiety about their medical condition, which lowers their tolerance.
  • Additionally, they may have other needs, such as dyslexia, low literacy levels, or the need for translations.

To support this:

  • We may require you to provide shortened versions of some complex pages

Unnessary or out of date content and historical archives

  • Searching for content has become a key navigational tool for patients, and this process has been further simplified with the integration of native AI options for mobile phones, apps and search engines.
  • This means that your website needs to function more like a knowledge base or FAQ and remain concise and accurate to ensure that only the most appropriate information is available to these tools.
  • Reducing pages about the same key task or action will also reduce the times that multiple search results are presented which causes more confusion as to which provides the 'correct' information

To support this

  • We will not transfer News archives or Meeting minute archives
  • We will reduce the duplication of content
  • We will reduce the need for content that is available elsewhere and updated independantly

Content not to include

Is there anything that you don't wish us to move to over to your new website?: *
Please provide links to pages, where appropriate

New content

We do not create content so you will need to provide anything that is not on your current website

Is there any new content that needs to be included?: *

To allow you the time to gather/enquire about this internally we will ask for you to supply this information before you website goes live

Only following file extensions are allowed: jpg, jpeg, png, webp, pdf, doc, docx, pptx

Links to patient information

We often find that some organisations use their website to be able to send specific links to patients for information that does not appear on their website.

Please choose the most appropriate response: *

To allow you the time to gather/enquire about these links internally we will ask for you to supply these links before you website goes live

Choosing a Launch Date

Whilst the process of launching a website is straightforward, there are numerous factors that are completely outside of our control that can cause delays and this will impact any specific timings.

For this reason, we suggest that we make your site live overnight and avoid any key dates that could add additional stress to the launch of your new site.

Reducing User Frustration

It is envitiable that you will get some gripes & grumbles or frustrations from your users when the new site is live, and to support keeping this to a minimum we suggest that you don't apply further complications by combining you launch with other campaigns or service announcements

Do

  • Do choose a date that represents a day where you generally find it quieter i.e. later in the week
  • Do choose a date where you have minimal staff on annual leave especially any key team members

Don't

  • Don't choose a date that is just prior to any other launch or change  i.e. new clinical triage system
  • Don't choose a date just prior to a Bank Holiday weekend
  • Don't choose a date just prior to a busy period i.e. flu campaign or school holiday
If required this date may be changed to accomondate any variations or issues as the project progresses. This will be discussed with you as necessary.

Notice Periods

Have you given notice to your current website provider?: *

Don't panic if you have not given notice

Whilst we wish to be mindful of the end of your current contract period, it's best to give notice once you know that your new website is ready to avoid any complications.

Is the date you have chosen to go live represent the end of your current contract period?: *
This will usually be based around the date of your annual or monthly invoices
